The Challenge of Professor Moriarty.
The performer introduces a small rectangular box which he opens. The box contains a puzzle made of wood pieces. He dumps out of the box the pieces, and builds again the puzzle which is rectangular shapped. The performer finds a supplementary piece square shaped. He manages to add it to the puzzle, and keep to this one the same rectangular shape. Once again he finds an other piece, twice the size of the first one, he also manages to add it to the puzzle, and keep to this one, again, a rectangular shape. But the most astonishing, is that the performer puts all the pieces back in the box, and the puzzle, althought 2 pieces had been added, fits perfectly in the box ! You are going to perform this super effect with splendid props : the box is made of nice mapple wood and the pieces are cut in a splendid mahogany wood. This puzzle is customizable: the tiles can be made with mahogany or walnut; and the boxe can be also customizable. An intriguing patter which involved Sherlock Holmes and his personnal enemy the evil Professor Moriarty is provided. With this you are going to involve your audience in a fine and surprising story. The magic is here , it is up to you to catch it, and to take your audience with you at the end of the 19th century in the foggy London city.
